Privacy Policy BPM Power

The Privacy Policy determines the principles of gathering and collecting personal data and other anonymous data.

The Privacy Policy applies to:

  • websites owned and administrated by BPM Power;
  • interactions on our social media channels;
  • participation in online events hosted by us;
  • attendance at our real-life events.

BPM Power B.V. commits to adhering to the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) and the implementing law of the General Data Protection Regulation.

1. WHEN DO WE PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA

We process your personal data when you:

  • visit our website or social media, communicate with us through e-mail, phone, or other digital channels;
  • provide us with your business card during a personal meeting;
  • sign an agreement with us and communicate with us as a client or supplier;
  • register for any of our (digital or physical) events.

BPM Power is responsible for the collection and use of your personal data. 

4. WHAT PERSONAL DATA DO WE PROCESS AND WHY?

4.1. When you use our website, social media, communicate with us through e-mail, phone or other digital communication method, we will process your personal data to:

  1. enable communication between you and us, for which we invoke our legitimate interest to respond to requests, questions or comments or to proactively contact you with questions of any kind (e.g., when you respond to a blog, use our contact form or contact us via social media, phone, email or a different digital channel);
  2. to improve the content of and overall experience on the website and social media pages, for which we rely on our legitimate interest in providing our visitors with an interesting online experience;
  3. detect and prevent malware, illegal content and conduct and other forms of abuse, for which we invoke our legitimate interest in keeping our online presence safe.

To achieve these objectives, we process the following personal data:

  1. the identity information you provide us, such as name, e-mail, mailing address, phone number, the company you work for, your position;
  2. the contents of your communication and the technical details of the communication itself (with whom you communicate on our end, date and time, etc.)
  3. technical information connected to the device you use, like your IP-address, browser type, geographical location and operating system;
  4. information about your online behavior, the links you click, the pages you visit, the time you spend on our site.
  5. all other personal data you provide to us.

4.2. When you provide us with your business card we:

Collect and register the information provided to us on the business card, with regards to relationship management. We invoke our legitimate interest to build and maintain our network.

4.3. When you decide to enter into a contract with us, either as a client or a supplier, we will collect and use your personal data to:

  1. fulfill our contractual obligations;
  2. update our business administration, such as invoicing, contract management, relationship management. We invoke our legitimate interest to manage our activities in a responsible and professional manner.

The personal data we process for these objectives are always in relation to your basic identity information like name, e-mail address, company address, phone number, job title, etc. 

4.4. When you register for an event hosted by BPM Power we:

Collect and process the information provided by you on the registration form (name, company name, e-mail, phone number). In case of an online event, we process technical data about your online behavior, like time spent watching, chat messages sent, etc.

5. WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR DATA?

BPM Power may make the collected data of users available to selected partners with whom it cooperates within the scope of conducted business activities. Personal data may be transferred particularly as a response to the contact, registration, interest in products on the part of the user. The list of partners is published on the BPM Power website.

BPM Power may make the personal data of users available to selected service providers with whom it cooperates in order to take marketing and analytical measures. The data may be made available only within the scope necessary to perform relevant actions arising from the nature of business activity.

If participation in a conference (online or in-person) is declared, the personal data of users may also be made available to other participants, speakers, co-organizers, hotels and other entities involved in the organization of the event within the scope necessary to perform their tasks.

The scope of actions currently requires BPM Power to transfer the data to countries outside the European Union.

6. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR DATA?

We will retain your personal data for as long as we have an ongoing relationship with you. For example, when:

  1. we have an active contract with you as a supplier or customer;
  2. you have opted-in to receive marketing messaging;

Should an ongoing relationship end, BPM Power will delete data after a reasonable amount of time.

7. WHAT RIGHTS DO YOU HAVE?

Your rights in connection with the processing of personal data are:

  1. the right to access your data, including obtaining a copy of the data;
  2. the right to request correction of data;
  3. the right to delete data (when reasonable);
  4. the right to lodge a complaint in regard to the protection of personal data;
  5. the right to limit data processing.

To the extent that the processing of your personal data is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw such consent at any time by contacting BPM Power. Please note that this will not affect BPM Power’s right to process personal data obtained prior to the withdrawal of your consent, or its right to continue parts of the processing based on other legal bases than your consent.

8. HOW DO WE PROTECT YOUR DATA?

At BPM Power we take personal data security seriously. We protect your personal data in accordance with applicable laws and our data privacy policy. In addition, BPM Power maintains the appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized or unlawful processing and/or against accidental loss, alteration, disclosure or access, or accidental or unlawful destruction or damage thereto.

9. COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

BPM Power utilizes Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (Google), to understand how visitors engage with our website. Google Analytics uses “cookies,” which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of our website will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.

If you wish to opt-out of Google Analytics tracking, you can download and install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on for your web browser. This add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js, and dc.js) from sharing information with Google Analytics about visit activity.
